Neil Maya Quartet's, A tribute To Stan Getz playing at Kings Nympton Parish Hall for Beaford Arts

The quartet will take you through some of Getz’s most famous recordings as well as a few surprises. Neil will also give a brief history of Getz’s somewhat colourful and full life.

Expect to hear: The Girl From Ipanema, Corcovado, What The World Needs Now, Four Brothers, Captain Marvel, One Note Samba, Yesterdays, My Funny Valentine, The Peacocks, It might as well be spring time and many more.

A gig at the Market Theatre Ledbury

Hear the music of the greatest sax player. Alto saxophonist Charlie Parker
was one of the most influential jazz musicians of all time, forging a brand new genre
in jazz, bebop, with fast tempos, virtuosic technique and advanced harmonies. In this
project the quartet celebrates some of Charlie’s finest compositions as well as some
great jazz standards that Charlie brought to prominence. In between numbers Neil
will also talk about some moments from Charlie’s eventful life and the influence he had on jazz.
